Gettin' fresh … in Northern Nevada

Bountiful Basket: June 1, 2013

This week’s box is beautiful.   There are bananas, honeydew melon, papaya, plums, blueberries, pineapple, white and yellow onions, carrots, green beans, swiss chard and romaine lettuce.   My extra add-on was a huge package of flour tortillas (7 DOZEN! )

The quality of everything in the boxes had been great and the variety is fantastic.   I have really enjoyed the add-ons.  The coconut oil in the first week was great and these tortillas are fantastic.  The value is amazing–the fruits and veggies were only $20!

Next weekend, we might go camping and I think I will be hitting up some farmers markets for local stuff.

  1. Looks very tasty–and I’d even take the tortillas, too. I’m just plain hungry right now I guess. Here it’s spring greens season, though we did get some color in the strawberries which taste like a strawberry should.

    • Strawberries are soooo good … especially in a salad. 🙂
