Gettin' fresh … in Northern Nevada

Harvest Time Down on the Farm

Remember when I visited Lattin Farms earlier this year?   No?   Here’s the post will all of the spring time happenings for the main farm of my CSA box.   They are located in Fallon, Nevada, which is about an hour from my house.

It’s a cornstalk cornucopia!

I had the chance to drop by again for some goodies and took more pictures.    I love to see the changes in seasons, and I will probably go back next month to do all of the October festivities including the corn maze, pumpkin-lit holiday tree and family fun that they have going on down on the farm.   This was just a quick stop but there were definitely plenty of things going on at the roadside market.

These pumpkins and squash were really PINK!

Don’t you love these zeppelin squash?

My favorite: Lemon Cucumber!

The best little roadside market in Nevada

Whoa. That’s a lotta gourds, pumpkins, squash and HUGE zucchinis!

That looks like a great place! I’ve never heard of lemon cucumber, but I’m intrigued! What does it taste like? A lemony cucumber?
